We have been in operation since it was founded by Vincent Griffith, P.E. in 1994. Reno Engineering Key Services Feasibility, Alignment Studies and Economic Analysis of Design Alternatives: REC has prepared feasibility and alignment studies and economic analysis including the 17-mile State Route 805 from I-80 to Highway 50 for the TRI Center and Storey County.
Preparation of Plans and Specifications for Street Construction and Rehab: REC has prepared thousands of pages of roadway design plans and specs for projects dedicated to public agencies. Most notably are the 100 lane-miles of public roadways in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center prepared since 2000. We have also prepared plans and specs for privately funded public roadways in conjunction with RTC including Double R Boulevard.
Civil Site Development: REC has prepared site development plans for more than 50 percent of the owners at both the TRI Center and South Meadows Business Park. We just completed the 30,000 square foot Storey County Government Complex, and are proud to be on the Storey County Jail expansion design team.
Construction Management: REC has provided construction management on numerous privately funded public roadway projects. REC is the construction manager for all improvements being constructed within the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center and has acted as construction managers for privately funded public roadways, including Double R Boulevard.
Environmental Studies: REC has prepared numerous environmental studies including the Environmental Assessment prepared for the Federal Highway Administration for the USA Parkway Interchange. With the assistance of the necessary specialists, REC can provide this service for RTC.
