Celebrate local culture and be entertained at many great events and festivals taking place along the Riverwalk District throughout the year. With music festivals, art exhibitions, cultural celebrations, and live performances dotting the calendar, there is something for everyone planned this year.

Rush the River, 3rd Saturday of each month

The Riverwalk Merchants Association proudly presents Reno’s most dynamic and high-energy monthly event, “Rush the River,” every third Saturday. Shop for all-local, handmade, and uniquely Nevada food and products. Enjoy art showcases and shows along the river corridor. From 2-5 p.m., the Reno Wine Walk will feature a self-guided wine tasting. Experience Downtown Reno’s premier urban outing while enjoying the best restaurants, art, retail, and signature cocktails.

Wine Walk, 3rd Saturday of each month

Every third Saturday, the famed Wine Walk is hosted by the small businesses of the Riverwalk Merchants Association along the Truckee River and neighboring streets in downtown Reno. This is a fun and quirky event where costumes take center stage, so dress up and stroll through downtown Riverwalk businesses. It’s a great opportunity to have fun and socialize while enjoying wine.

Reno Jazz Festival, April 26

The 2024 Reno Jazz Festival celebrates 62 years with an incredible lineup of jazz artists and artist educators offering a richer, deeper, and more diverse educational and artistic experience for participants devoted to educating and inspiring the next generation of jazz musicians. This year’s festival features headliner performances by GEORGE, Terell Stafford, and the Manzanita Quintet, 20+ concerts, and workshops from leading jazz artists and educators, 110+ performances by student ensembles, two nights of jam sessions, and a closing student showcase like no other.

The Reno River Festival, June 7-9

The Reno River Festival heats up in 2024 with three days of outdoor adventure in the heart of downtown Reno! This year includes an extra day in the sun to celebrate all things summer. Riverfest features concerts in the park, food, local craft beer, award-winning hard seltzers, shopping, adrenaline-pumping thrill rides, the most unique bike ride in Northern Nevada, the largest cornhole event in the region, a new festival scavenger hunt, and the brand-new Great Reno River Rally!

Artown, July 1-31

Artown is a festival that has been inspiring the Reno community since 1996. This festival brings together distinguished artists from around the world as well as regional homegrown artists. Throughout the entire month of July, Reno transforms into Artown, offering one of the most comprehensive arts festivals in the country. Recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts, Artown offers nearly 500 events, over 100 workshops, and more than 30 performances. The festival creates a culturally diverse artistic environment that promotes and embodies inclusion and access to the arts.

The Green Gala, October 10, 2024

This is an unforgettable evening where sustainability meets art, fashion, and exquisite dining. This event is a celebration of creativity and eco-consciousness, captivating attendees with extravagant attire and costuming inspired by the beauty of nature. At The Green Gala, go beyond the conventional boundaries of style, pushing the envelope with avant-garde fashion that showcases extraordinary creations. Through this unique blend of art and fashion, they aim to raise awareness and funds for the beautification efforts of the Riverwalk District and Nevada’s Green Dining initiatives and operations.
