From his humble beginnings as a street performer\, to being featured on the #1 rated show in the USA – Dancing With The Stars. Guitarist and creative force behind the event\, Benise\, comments “I wanted to push the boundaries of Nuevo Flamenco/Spanish guitar while combining the elements of dance and theater. This show is a celebration of all the shows we’ve done over the last 25 years.”The Emmy Award-winning composer along with an international cast of musicians and dancers will entertain audiences with a two-hour show that “is an escape from all of their problems\,” Benise says. The work is inspired by the story of Mary Katherine Goddard\, the only woman to sign the historic document—a testament to courage\, conviction\, and the power of a single voice to shape history. The season reaches its grand finale with Orff’s Carmina Burana\, an exhilarating choral tour de force featuring the Reno Phil Chorus and a powerhouse trio of soloists\, its thunderous rhythms and ecstatic melodies transform the concert hall into a whirlwind of fate\, fortune\, and unrestrained joy.

Armed with the music of the greatest composers\, songwriters and performers of the past 300 years\, and the technology of the 21st century\, Nico and Patrick deliver everything from classical piano raptures to bombastic boogie woogie in their show Piano Heist: Keyboard Explosion!Nico is an in-demand arranger/musical director in Canada\, with 40 stage musicals to his credit. He’s written 400 original compositions\, four original musicals and arranged two symphonic pops concerts. In 2019\, he was honored with Nanaimo’s Emerging Cultural Leader Award. Patrick is classically trained (Royal Conservatory of Music) and holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Vancouver Island University. He has directed musical theatre productions\, played in recording sessions\, created music for film + TV\, and toured across Canada\, the United States and China.This 60-minute family-friendly performance is presented with FREE ADMISSION in the Pioneer Center Theater.
